Stock Picking between Market Sentiment and Economic Fundamentals
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Angela-Maria Filip, our professor and one of the founding members of the FSEGA Investment Club, for joining us on March, 18 to deliver an insightful presentation on “Stock Picking between Market Sentiment and Economic Fundamentals”.
During the session, participants explored several essential theoretical aspects related primarily to fundamental analysis and the classical financial theories that form the basis of the financial analyst profession. The discussion provided students with a clearer perspective on how economic fundamentals and market sentiment interact in shaping investment decisions and evaluating listed companies.
For many members of the Club, especially those less familiar with finance and financial markets, the event offered a valuable introduction to core analytical concepts and sparked a thoughtful and engaging debate. The session also marked the beginning of a series of discussions planned for this semester, aimed at gradually strengthening students’ understanding of fundamental analysis and investment thinking.
We are grateful to Angela-Maria Filip for her openness, expertise, and continued support in contributing to the development of the Club’s learning initiatives. We look forward to building on this series of discussions and continuing to create meaningful opportunities for students interested in capital markets and investment analysis.
